We build quality Timber Garden Sheds and Workshops to a variety of sizes and specifications.
That includes Man Caves and She-Sheds. And our famous Bike Sheds too.
We make them right here in Melbourne, and ship them all over Australia.

Usually, our maximum gable width is 2.4 metres with a shed length up to 4.1metres although we also have a 3 x 3 m shed (all under 10 square meters - council friendly.)
Our standard side wall height is 2m (2030mm). We offer different wall heights to suit your needs.
Most sheds can be made with either a pitched roof, or a flat skillion roof.
Note that our roofs always overhang on 4 sides of the shed. Keep that in mind if placing the shed against a fence or a wall.
We use full size timber for the frame (70mm, not 45mm like cheaper sheds) and treated pine for the cladding. Our sheds are SOLID and BUILT TO LAST.
We source quality sliding aluminium windows to complement the sheds. They are Australian made too.
We will work with you to design the right space for you.
Our sheds are supplied in Flatpack, ready for assembly. Our floors, walls and roofs are pre-assembled in the factory.
All our sheds use our exclusive modular system (see example 3, 11 or 15) to allow for easier installation and flexible layout.
They are designed to be installed by two guys with no previous experience of building things.
Sometimes, subject to time and distance, we can install the shed for you.
And we'll include a free skylight if you want. Easy!

2.4m x 3.5m Timber Shed with internal Port
At Design A Shed we have combined the security of a lockable shed with the easy access of a weather proof side port.
The port can be used in any number of ways:
- use it to store items that get used a lot like the kids bikes. Keeps the bikes out of the weather and keep the kids out of your shed.
- it is a great spot to put the dog kennel for added protection against all weather conditions.
- use it to store the wood for your open fire as you can wheel a wheelbarrow right in.
